The Name
Blue Row 1935 is named for my grandfather, Onsy Makar.
He was born in Egypt in 1935 and moved to Boston, where he lived two lives at once — chemist by profession, painter by heart. He spent decades painting the same subject: rows of blue sailboats, resting on quiet water.
He passed in 2022. This brand carries his name and his blue.
The Clothing
Blue Row 1935 makes elevated loungewear for the way people actually live now. Every piece is cut from premium fabrics chosen for how they feel and hold their shape: soft enough for a slow Sunday, polished enough for a Monday meeting. Clean lines, considered details, and a tiny sailboat at every cuff.
